The bank of the Main river, overlooking Grossheubach to the north. Our daughters Cathi (then 8 yrs.) and Christi (then 10 yrs.). They are standing with their backs to the old town wall. According to old documents, it was here that the town turned out to bid farewell to those who were leaving for Nova Scotia, travelling by river to the seaport to board the ship.
