The top of the plaque reads: Our dead in the World War. Under that is "Dead" with a list of names, many of which are familiar names in the history of Lunenburg. The next list of five is "Missing". The last three are: "Died at home after the war". At the bottom: Dedicated by the Church of Kleinhuebach, AD 1922"
